Service plans can wait for staff confirmation

Service plans with included staff add-ons now check staff availability before checkout and keep paid bookings in an awaiting-confirmation state until the required team member is assigned.

What changed

What changed

  • Public booking availability now includes staff add-ons that are bundled into the selected service plan.
  • Availability API responses now bypass shared caching so recent staff blocks, booking holds, and add-on capacity changes are reflected immediately.
  • StudioDock checks both assigned staff bookings and admin staff blocks before letting a customer continue with a staffed plan.
  • Paid bookings that still need staff now show as Awaiting staff confirmation instead of Confirmed.
  • The normal customer confirmation email is sent only after every required staff add-on has been claimed or assigned.

What changed

Why this matters

  • Studios can sell producer, videographer, assistant, or operator packages with fewer manual double-booking risks.
  • Customers are no longer misled with a confirmed booking while the team still needs to secure staff.
  • Admins get a clearer operational queue for bookings that need staff assignment before they are fully confirmed.
