Customers can change eligible bookings themselves
Scale-plan studios can let customers reschedule upcoming bookings and update simple public extras from the manage link or customer portal.
All studiosPlan-specific
How to use this update
- 1Open Admin -> Settings -> Booking Rules.
- 2Find Customer booking management and enable Allow customers to change bookings.
- 3Set Reschedule window (hours) to control how close to the booking start customers can make changes.
- 4Test one manage link or customer portal booking before announcing the option to customers.
What changed
What changed
- Scale-plan studios can enable customer booking management from Settings -> Booking Rules.
- Eligible customers can open their manage link or customer portal and choose a new date/time for the same space and duration.
- Customers can also update simple active public extras that do not have staff, linked-space capacity, variants, choices, or separate add-on times.
- Successful changes send dedicated booking-updated emails to both the customer and studio admin.
What changed
Built-in limits
- The reschedule window is separate from the cancellation window, so studios can allow one action without allowing the other.
- Changes that would increase the amount due are blocked in v1 and ask the customer to contact the studio.
- Lower-value changes can be saved, but any refund or credit decision remains a studio/admin workflow for now.
What changed
Why this matters
- Studios can move simple time-change requests out of chat and email.
- Customers get a clear self-service option without letting payment deltas or complex operational add-ons change silently.
- The updated booking remains the same StudioDock booking record, so internal booking lists, schedules, availability, and activity history stay aligned after refresh.
